About Us

Jonathan Lee is the founder and principal lawyer at A.G. Truett Law Professional Corporation, a firm focused on providing legal services to participants in the asset management industry. 

With almost a decade of transactional and regulatory experience at some of the most prestigious law firms on Bay Street, Jonathan brings a sharp and practical approach to solving his clients' complex legal matters. 

Jonathan has represented:

• Over one hundred foreign clients in navigating the Canadian securities law landscape; 
• Schedule I banks in billion and multi-million dollar acquisitions and investments;  
• Mutual fund trusts, ETFs, hedge funds, pooled funds and real estate funds in fund formation and ongoing securities regulatory obligations;
• Dealers, advisers and investment fund managers in their initial and ongoing securities regulatory obligations (including OSC field audits); and 
• Institutional investors (including pension plans) and high net worth investors in their investment activities.

Jonathan holds a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, a Master of Arts (Public Policy & Administration) from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen's University. 

In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family, teaching Sunday School at his local church, reading great American novels, and having debates about who would be considered a Top 5 player in a given NBA season.
